Q: How did dance come into your life?
I grew up dancing around the house, so at the age of 4, I had convinced my parents to put me into dancing and quickly fell in love. I loved all styles of dance because I got to explore the different sides of myself, which I think lead me into Music Theatre.
Q: Where has your dance journey taken you so far?
After training in my hometown of Sydney, I packed up and moved myself to Ballarat where I studied Music Theatre at Federation University’s Arts Academy. After I graduated, I moved to Melbourne permanently and fell in love with it. I’m very passionate about supporting Australian writers and creators, so I have been pursuing Australian Independent theatre, as well as finding my feet as a choreographer for cabaret and comedy. Pre-covid I was working on 2 shows for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as a performer and choreographer, so they’ve been postponed until its safe!
Eliza wears: The Ingrid Pullover in Grey Marle, Willow Crop Top in Black and Gia Leggings in Black
Q: What have you been doing to keep positive with during this stage of social distancing?
I chose to see lockdown as an opportunity to reconnect and do all the things that I’ve been meaning to do, so I’ve been knitting (a lot) and playing my ukulele ‘Harriet’. To keep active I’ve been focusing on my yoga practice, taking nice long walks with my partner, Ryan, and keeping up to date with the Energetiks IGTV dance series!
Q: Describe your perfect day at home:
My perfect home day starts with a lovely pot of Earl Gray Tea. I would spend the day hanging out with Ryan, going for a long lakeside walk, and slow cooking dinner. Toward the evening, I’d wrap the day up with some yoga and whatever sort of dance I am feeling. I’d have a looooong bubble bath and then dinner. We’d finish the night with a shiraz, cozy lighting and a bit of Ella Fitzgerald. Perfect <3

Q: How did dance come into your life?
I was fortunate enough to be born into a family-run dance studio, that was my first ever exposure to the world of dance.

Q: Where has your dance journey taken you so far?
I was lucky enough to train at Transit Dance (Elite Performance Contemporary Stream), under the likes of Paul Malek, Adam Wheeler and Daniel Jaber. During my Fulltime training I performed with Stephanie Lake Company in “Colossus” Melbourne Fringe 2018 which then saw me perform a second season for the Melbourne International Arts Festival in 2019. The start of 2019 saw me perform under Chunky Move at VMAFF X Nocturnal as well Simulcast, Under Alice Lee Holland. During this time I launched my own Business, Pulse Entertainment. Since the business’ humble beginnings I’ve been lucky enough to Dance for DJ Havana Brown, Nathaniel, Tiger Lily, Paris Lawrence and more. I can’t wait to see where Pulse takes me next!
Q: What have you been doing to keep positive with during this stage of social distancing?
It’s simple in theory but hard to implement, scheduling! Keeping to a schedule has certainly kept my mind at ease and helped me focus on my goals. Running a business as well as being an artist can be hard during these times but schedules help and I can’t forget sunshine!

Q: How did dance come into your life?
Being drawn to music at a young age led me to my love of dance.
Q: Where has your dance journey taken you so far?
I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t moving or dancing around! I started dancing as soon as I could walk it seems at DLDC and was there for just over a decade. I started full-time ballet training at ADPI when I was 14, finishing high school online. When I was 17, I decided to change pathways and have a go at singing. I was lucky enough to be accepted into the Queensland Conservatorium to study a Bachelor of Musical Theatre, graduating in 2018. I was drawn to the art of telling stories in a way that involved not only movement and music, but also my voice. In May last year, I moved down to Melbourne and made my professional debut in “Thoroughly Modern Millie’ with The Production Company. A highlight of mine would have to be performing with the Royal Ballet when they toured Christopher Wheeldon’s ‘Winters Tale’ to Brisbane in 2017. It was absolutely surreal to be performing onstage alongside dancers who I had been in awe of since I was little!
Emily wears: The Roar Collection Ariel Crop in Flame, the Jada Shorts in Flame and the Wilder Jacket in Flame
Q: What have you been doing to keep positive with during this stage of social distancing?
I’ve loved doing the Energetiks IGTV series! My entire family lives in Brisbane, so I’ve been relying on FaceTime a lot to stay connected. Keeping in touch has really helped me stay positive and inspired to keep finding new ways to make the most out of this down time.

Q: Describe your perfect day at home:
