Day 1 - Sunday

Location: New South Wales > Melbourne, Victoria

KD: Heading to Ballina airport on Sunday morning feeling slightly exhausted after being in Brisbane on a dance gig. I depart Ballina airport at 10:30am super excited to head to Melbourne after such a long break of working (due to Covid). I arrive in Melbourne just after lunch time and the weather is super cold this week in Melbourne and such a shock to my body due to living on the Gold Coast! Headed straight to the accommodation to check in and just went for a walk down the street towards the shops for the afternoon – I grabbed some snacks, dinner… and maybe some sneaky retail shopping!

Day 2 - Monday

Location: Melbourne – Photography Studio & CBD

Woke up around 6:30am to start my makeup and hair for a busy day of shooting on location. On my way I grab a quick coffee which is always an essential in my day. The call time is 9am and it was at a beautiful studio where I met Elly, who is the Energetiks photographer. I was super excited for this shoot as I don’t usually shoot much in a studio with coloured lighting (like we’re doing today) and also to wear some of the new Energetiks collections. We shot in the studio for around five hours and then I had some free time, so I went back to the shops for some more cheeky shopping and something light to eat. At 7:30pm I got picked up for my second shoot of the day, a late night shoot in Melbourne CBD. This was super epic as it was at night-time in the city, using all the street/shop lighting and the contrast of the cement and windows. This wrapped up around 9:00pm, and Elly dropped me back at my hotel for the night. I was pretty tired after such a long but rewarding day back at work shooting with Energetiks.

Day 3 - Tuesday

Location: Energetiks Head Office & Platinum Moorabbin Store

This morning I didn’t have to be at Energetiks Head Office until 10am, so I enjoyed a little sleep in till 8am then went for a walk down to a cafe for some breakfast and a coffee. Once I arrived at Head Office I went in for hair and makeup, which was provided by the Energetiks team. I was super excited to be at Head Office as I got to see lots of posters from my recent campaigns that were on display, which I hadn’t seen before! We did a two hour shoot at Energetiks Head Office and then stopped for lunch around 12pm before heading out to the Energetiks Platinum Moorabbin Store. I’ve never been to an Energetiks store before so it was so exciting to see lots of posters of me up around the store, and to finally be there in person after two years of working with Energetiks. At the store we spent a few hours filming some Tiktoks (which are featured on the Energetiks Tiktok account) and I was lucky enough to pick a few outfits to take home with me. After this my time with Energetiks was done for this trip and Elly drove me back to my hotel for the night. I just ordered in some Uber eats and spent my evening relaxing before my shoot the next day.

Day 4 - Wednesday

Location: Ministry Entertainment & Productions Studios, North Melbourne

This morning I woke up at 5:30am as I had makeup artist Emma Rumian come to my hotel for a 6am start before heading out to get my hair done from Shannon Sophia at 8am. Today I was shooting new photos and a small video with the incredible Sean Higgins (@shotography) who I have been working with for the past 5 years. Definitely on big days like this I love getting my makeup and hair done as it’s less stress on me and the beautiful girls did such an incredible job I was so happy with the outcome. Sean and I shot for around 2 hours at Ministry of Entertainment studios which was so beautiful and such a great space to work at. After this unfortunately my time in Melbourne was finished and I just ordered an Uber to the airport to catch my flight back to Ballina airport at 7pm. I am super grateful to have these opportunities to work with Energetiks as it also gives me the chance to not only travel to Melbourne and work for them but also for me to get the chance to work on my own projects with Sean Higgins. I’m very fortunate for this and I’m so excited to see what the future has install for Energetiks and I this year.
