The 2024 Winter Style Guide | Dance Edition
Think comfort, warmth and style. Think 2024 winter style guide. We’re big fans of a layered look and that’s why our winter pieces are built to be mixed and matched to suit one’s studio style. Layered looks can add a touch of sophistication, lead to more styling variations and there’s no better feeling than wearing dancewear that empowers you! With that being said, it’s time to browse some of our latest garments that are not only made for those frosty mornings, but can enhance your winter wardrobe.
Zara Collection
After ballet core staples? Behold our Zara Collection. The black and pink attire screams versatility and with its fitted design, is perfect for laying over your leotards and tights. Cast your eyes over our Zara Stirrup Legging that sit beneath the arch of your shoe and can accentuate your point. Or, perhaps take a look at our Zara Crossover which feature long sleeves that help extend those lines for port de bras. These pieces have detailing specifically designed for dancer’s who may attend casual classes or take part in regular private coaching. Another perk is that they aren’t solely crafted for one style of dance. Instead they can act as fabulous ballet, jazz or athleisure wear additions. There are no rules! Maybe you wish to embrace the inner 70’s flared pant style. If so, pair our Zara Shrug with a London Crop Top and our bootlegged Harlow Pant. Or, for more of a streamlined look, wear our Veronica Cap Sleeve Leotard with delicate gathered detailing beneath the Zara Romper.
Unisex
We’ll take a matching set any day! That’s why we’ve released our gender-neutral Unisex attire. Say no more to feeling overheated in the studio. Each of these pieces have been made with BCI cotton unbrushed fleece allowing dancer’s to remain cool. Simply wear our unisex garments over the top of a crop top, t-shirt or leotard. The batwing sleeves and dropped shoulder details also ensure there’s unrestricted movement for floor work, lifts and high-intensity combinations. Style your Avery Hoodie and Avery Classic Track Pant over our supportive Tori Adjustable Bra Crop Top and Astrid High Cut Briefs to transition from commercial to contemporary in no time. Perhaps even layer our insulating Jax Puffer Vest over the top!
Cozies & Leg Warmers
What’s the equivalent to walking on clouds? Wearing our Warm Up Cozies of course! We love wearing these in between class breaks, for dance competitions or recitals and performances. Pop your ballet shoes on with your fleece lined cozies over the top for ultra comfort and go about running pre-show preparation errands easily. Best for indoor usage with their non-slip outer sole, these cozies are specifically made for dancer’s to warm up in to reduce the risk of injury. For extremely cold show days, place the Zara Bike Short on top of your tights and wear your Zara Pullover that features a classically cut boat neck. Finally, add your Warm Up Cozies to complete the look.
Alternatively, wear our Milly Leg Warmer that feature stirrups for class. Opt for your preferred length and bring out that 80’s aesthetic whilst having additional leg and foot warmth. One of our fave combos is the Kity Leotard with our Jamie Dance Short and Leg Warmer. Or, maybe the Veronica Camisole with the Natalia Skirt and Milly Leg Warmer is more your style!
Activewear
Are you a pilates or yoga fanatic between show days? Improve that core strength and focus on muscle recovery wearing some of our form-fitting and stretchy active pieces. We believe it’s important for dancer’s to have a free range of motion, while feeling supported through each and every movement. Shop our Allegro Collection featuring the Tori Crop Top, Kela Shrug and Sabre Legging, all crafted from compression jacquard fabric for optimal support. Or, if you’re one who prefers less layers and coverage while exercising, perhaps wear our Perry Hot Short Unitard which includes an in-built shelf bra and pair with the Lara Jacket.
Say au revoir to feeling the cold in the studio and hello to winter wardrobe must-haves! We all know how important it is for our muscles to be warm prior to running routines, so, if you’re one that prefers loose clothing to fitted pieces, our Unisex attire is the way to go! If you want to avoid feeling overheated, perhaps shrugs or leg warmers are your go-to. Whether you’re after warm up, unisex or activewear pieces, choose from an array of styles. Remember, there’s no right or wrong. We encourage all dancers to form their own winter style and are eager to see what looks you recreate in seasons ahead.
