Something super exciting happened this weekend at Energetiks! For the very first time we opened the gates of our Head Office and warmly welcomed you to our Massive Warehouse Sale (...and by massive, we do mean MASSIVE!). Team Members from Essendon, Bentleigh, Fountain Gate and Ivanhoe were joined by the team at Head Office who temporarily abandoned their posts and joined in on the excitement and the chance to connect with the customers, many of whom we knew from phone conversations and friendly messages over facebook and social media! However this time we thought we'd take a more 'hands on' approach to things...

The sale began bright and early on Saturday morning and before long the place was packed! We had mums and dads, kids, full-time dance students, casuals, part-timers, professional performers and newbies alike all united in their quest for bargains, and nobody left empty handed. As a matter of fact there were more than a few eager shoppers who decided that waiting until they got home to don their brand new dance gear just wasn't going to happen (see below).

To make things even more fun we had some of our multi-talented team taking to the stage (oh yes, did we mention that there was a stage?! ...There's a *brilliant* saying that goes 'Give the world a reason to dance' ...and we thought a stage makes for a pretty good reason to bust a move. So a stage is exactly what we got).

And sure enough you guys danced your hearts out! Our gorgeous model Holly started things off with a ballet class, followed by Dom who mixed it up with some Jazz, and the classes continued on with an assortment of Hip Hop, Tap, Broadway-style Jazz, Lyrical and Commercial Jazz classes over the next two days taken by Holly, Dom, Christina, Kassie, Devon and Mark.

We would also like to give a special mention to a very enthusiastic group of young ladies who came along on Sunday and stayed ALL day so they could participate in every one of the dance classes! Meet Elena (23), Jessie (15), Danielle (16), Renee (15), Logan (14), Maddie (17) - who are all from DanceXclusive, and Stephanie (25), Nicole (29) - who came on both days, wow! - and Brooke (11). They said they especially loved their Broadway Jazz class taught by our fabulous dancer & team member Mark. Now that is true dedication to dance, well done girls, we loved having you!

We would also like to thank everyone for being so patient during all the craziness - we had queues reaching around the entire Head Office thanks to everyone snapping up all the bargains, but everyone stayed in good spirits in spite of the wait. Perhaps it was the free concert going on right in front of them, or maybe it was all the ingeniously witty remarks David, our salesman-for-the-day was making! Announcing our spot sales gleefully whilst roaming amongst the stalls, megaphone clasped to his chest. Here's a sample pitch from David for you in case you weren't lucky enough to catch him in the act- "Attention everyone, our velour track pants are now one dollar only!! ...ONE DOLLAR! That's like, less than a coffee people, that's like, 5 coffees, only NOT!"

So if you were one of the many to walk away with a spot sale item over the weekend, or one of the extra lucky customers who made it to our 50% FURTHER reduction in the final hour of sale, please spare a moment of appreciation for David's infectious enthusiasm in sharing the latest announcements with you and making sure no-one went to the checkout before that extra 50% off was added. People were going home with leotards for $2.50 and dance sneakers for $5, crazyyyyy!

So there you have it, now you’ve all been invited into the very heart of Energetiks, seen our Warehouse, met – and danced with - the team at Head Office and probably left with a few more dance T’s, leotards and Jazz shoes than you were intending to, but probably more change as well! It was a wonderful weekend and we couldn’t be more proud of the team and our customers, everyone was so positive, enthusiastic and excited to be involved, and it’s exactly that kind of energy and team spirit that makes us want to do what we do…!
