Spotlight on Energetiks Ambassador Anneliese Schultz: Young Dancer, Model, and Rising Star

Meet Anneliese Schultz, a 10-year-old Australian-American dynamo who embodies passion, talent, and dedication in every step she takes. From acing dance competitions to modelling for renowned brands, Anneliese has already built an impressive resume that shines with promise.

The Beginning of a Dance Journey

Anneliese's love for dance blossomed at just 18 months old during "mummy and me" classes, where her enthusiasm for dance first began to shine. "Even at that age, I was mesmerised by the music," Anneliese recalls, sharing how the enchanting melodies and creative movements captivated her young mind. The classes were filled with playful elements like colourful tutus, wands, and flowers, sparking a joy that would only grow stronger with time.

These early lessons not only nurtured her natural talent, but also introduced her to the magic of storytelling through movement. Under the guidance of Ms. Debicki, who exuded warmth and encouragement, Anneliese learned to express herself freely and confidently. The joy of performing, even in a small studio setting, became an early source of happiness and fulfillment.

As she grew, that initial spark transformed into a deeper connection with dance, naturally leading her to formal training at Academy of Dance Victoria. What began as a fun activity with her mother soon evolved into a lifelong passion. For Anneliese, dancing is more than just steps or routines—it’s a medium through which she connects with music, tells stories, and shares her heart with the world.

Achievements That Inspire

Anneliese’s accomplishments are nothing short of remarkable. She proudly received the 2024 Royal Academy of Dance Audrey Nicholls Overall Scholarship, a prestigious recognition of her outstanding talent in classical ballet. She was also honored with the Artistry Award at the 2024 Ballet Teachers Workshop Finals. Her competition success spans multiple styles, including classical ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary.

One standout moment in her journey was her debut at the Ballet Teachers Workshop in 2022. Facing 97 competitors, Anneliese earned third-place —a testament to her resilience, dedication, and natural talent. These achievements highlight Anneliese’s drive, discipline, and deep passion for dance.

Beyond Dance

In addition to her love for dance, Anneliese shines in front of the camera as a model, representing brands like Kmart, Cotton On Kids, and Athlete’s Foot. She’s also a proud Energetiks Ambassador, blending her modelling expertise with her passion for dancewear. When she’s not dancing, Anneliese enjoys reading, cooking, biking, and even tackling Year 9-level maths as a Grade 4 student—proving her versatility extends far beyond the studio.

Staying Grounded

Balancing school, training, and performances is no easy feat, but Anneliese’s focus on organisation and self-care keeps her thriving. "I try to be organised and keep Sundays free for family and rest," she explains. She prioritises hydration between classes, healthy meals and early bedtimes to ensure she’s rested for the demands of her schedule. Beyond dance, Anneliese values quality time with loved ones, playing with her pets, and indulges in hobbies like reading and cooking, allowing her to recharge and maintain a positive mindset.

Words of Wisdom

To fellow dancers, Anneliese offers simple yet powerful advice: "Keep believing in yourself. There will be highs and lows—unexpected challenges, missed auditions, and performances that don’t go as planned. But if you trust in yourself, you’ll keep giving your best, learning, and growing [...]" This philosophy reflects her grounded nature and positive outlook, reminding others to focus on the joy of the journey rather than comparing themselves to others. Her infectious positivity, coupled with her unwavering dedication, makes her a role model for young dancers striving to balance hard work with a love for the art.

Looking ahead, Anneliese’s future is as promising as her present achievements. She’s eagerly anticipating a family trip to Japan, where she’ll immerse herself in new cultures and experiences. Beyond travel, she dreams of learning the piano, recommencing singing lessons this year, and expanding her creative talents further.

Whether dazzling audiences on stage, shining in front of the camera, or excelling in her studies, Anneliese embodies the discipline, artistry, and joy that define her as a truly one-of-a-kind individual. With her passion and determination, the sky is the limit for what she will accomplish next.
